Hurray! What a great day!
On Tuesday, April 7th 2009 The Scott County Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously to allow for the construction of the Reel to Reel Drive-In Theater. We have a few tasks to complete for the county before our building permits will be issued. We will be working as quickly as possible to have the proper documents and drawings reviewed so that we will be able to break ground on the new property soon!

Well we hope that everyone made it through the storm alright. This rain storm is just another in a long series of storms that have caused record rainfall. This has affected our ability to have the grating done on the 8 acres of property. We have received the building permits for the screen and concession stand.
The Quad-City Times has just posted an article about our delay. You can view that article here.
We are moving the opening date until Spring of next year. We feel that the drive-in would not be 100% this year. We will be spending the remainder of the year preparing for our opening in the Spring. This year you will see the construction starting next week on the first part of the project, a silt fence around the property.
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support. The Reel to Reel Drive-In Theater in Davenport, Iowa would not be possible without you all. We are still just as excited to start showing movies as we were when we started this project. We still plan to offer a top notch drive-in theater experience. Now with seven months or more of extra time to really make our theater shine.

We know that many of you are just as excited as we are to go to the drive-in. As the rain seems to have subsided for now our land is drying out. We are finalizing the building permits, and are almost ready to break ground.
